For many 2020 has been a strange year to put it mildly. For us 2020 started out as an exciting year with many thoughts of a new start and hopes of happiness and success. We sadly lost our father just before Christmas 2019 and it put many aspects of life into perspective ……. After years of thinking what a good idea it would be to have a family business for generations to come we finally took a leap of faith and set up Woodbridge Porter Ltd in February 2020. The name Woodbridge Porter is near and dear to our hearts bringing together two of the most powerful females in our world, our grandmothers – Gladys Woodbridge and Kathleen Porter.
We were on the verge of signing a lease for a retail premises just prior to Covid-19 lockdown however lockdown that other plans for us. Instead of moving forward with the long term lease we went ahead with an online gift store which has been growing steadily since then. We are now moving onto an exciting new step and have just started the set up of a pop-up location for 12 weeks until Christmas. We have many helping hands busily helping to stock the store, set up everything and open the doors to see everyone as soon as possible. Woodbridge Porter stocks gifts for every occasion including candles, diffusers, scarves, hats, decorative homewares, baby gifts, Woodbridge Porter baby boxes, illustrated cards & calendars, Leather handbags, Women’s Clothing and more.
